The inaugural year of the Fader March Madness Bracket Challenge, saw Jim Calhoun and “Cardiac” Kemba Walker lead the University of Connecticut Huskies to a National Championship. The #3 ranked Huskies went to the Final Four in Houston along with the #4 Kentucky Wildcats, #8 Butler Bulldogs and #11 VCU Rams. It was the first Final Four since 2006 that featured no top seeds. A game that’s first half was noted by CBS analyst Greg Anthony as “the worst half of basketball [he had] ever seen in a national championship game.” Connecticut triumphed over Butler 53-41 in what is widely regarded as the worst National Championship of all time.
