Thursday saw the continuation of chalk with and incredible closing note to kick off the Sweet Sixteen!

Texas Tech pulls an incredible comeback down 13 with less than 5 minutes to play to stun Coach Cal’s Razorbacks and advance into the Elite Eight, they’ll face the Florida Gators who chomped the now potentially coachless Crab Five and Maryland

Alabama beats BYU at their own game with an absolutely lethal shooting performance setting the record for most 3s made in NCAA Tournament history while Duke gets revenge on Caleb Love and Arizona who just wouldn’t go away setting up a star-studded Regional Final.

16 Bracketers go a perfect 4/4 scoring 16 points to kick off the Sweet 16, including Jared Fillo who narrows long-standing FBC leader Jake Wilson lead to one, while Wainwrights own Gabe McGraw sits two points back reinvigorated by his Red Raiders comeback

Four more games tomorrow as the contenders start to emerge in what has been the highest scoring FBC to date! No brackets were busted tonight… will we have the same luck tomorrow?

FADER's THOUGHTS

  • A stunning collapse from Arkansas, you knew the Red Raiders shots would eventually fall but to come back down 13 with under 5 minutes left is wild

  • Duke vs Alabama is going to feed families. I'm honestly disappointed there isn't more chaos but this matchup might make up for it. Both teams hit triple digits tonight, expect this game to be in the 90s

  • The 2025 FBC is a track meet, 56 people still have an intact final four which is absolutely staggering. Each game is pivotal here on out because ground will be tough to make up with so many people in contention

  • Jake's current potential wire-to-wire run is oddly reminiscent of Kayla's in 2022, let's hope it ends differently for his sake

  • As nice as the Beyonce Levi's ad is, I'm still a Wrangler guy. She's a shark though, Timothy Olyphant breaks and then she goes on an absolute run on the solids. It's impressive but I'd like to see her beat that old guy at Side Street
